This is my personal journey of my life. I have Lupus. I hope to use this blog as a platform to share my personal testimony.

Monday morning pick-me- up. Be bold and rely on God.

1 Samuel 17: 34-37
“But David said to Saul, “Your servant used to keep sheep for his father. And when there came a lion, or a bear, and took a lamb from the flock, 35 I went after him and struck him and delivered it out of his mouth. And if he arose against me, I caught him by his beard and struck him and killed him. 36 Your servant has struck down both lions and bears, and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be like one of them, for he has defied the armies of the living God.” 37 And David said, “The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.”
David told Saul, just before he faced Goliath, a man twice his height, that he had similar encounters with danger in his time of shepherding his fathers sheep. David not only fought the horrific animals that he faced while watching his fathers sheep, he also sought them out. Who does that? The brave and the fearless, that’s who! So David had no doubt that he could take on Goliath and win. The most striking part of this story is not David’s tenacity, it’s his confidence. He said,“The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” His confidence was not in himself, his confidence was in the Lord
I have found among way too many Christians the spirit of timidity! We don’t want to be brash or hurt anyone’s feelings so we stand by and keep quiet no matter what atrocities are going on, but concerning the enemy, we are told by Paul to stand, and after we have done everything we can to stand, just stand. (Ephesians 6: 13-14) Paul told Timothy in 2 Timothy 1: 7, “for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”
Whatever you may face today or this week, you can beat it. Be bold and rely on God.
