I decided a while back that I don’t “have”, to face hard times I “get” to. I know this sounds a little strange but let me explain. Every day when I wake up, I have a decision to make. I can either let hard circumstances and even bad days hold me back or I can choose to grow from those experiences. I choose every day to intentionally have a good day, sometimes it doesn’t always work out the way I want it to but at the end of every day I try to look back and recount what I have learned. In every situation that I face I know that there is something I can learn from and I know that God is teaching me something, most of the time for me it’s patience or simply to put my trust in him. I know that God can turn bad things into good and even difficult things can turn out to be blessings. When I shift my mind out of the moment and the given situation I can face things a little different. I know that I am never alone and God wants my full dependence on him. I try to remember that from everything that I face this is a growing moment, I can choose to walk with God or I can be a little stubborn and run ahead without God. Running ahead doesn’t seem to work to well for me by the way. God is for me, he isn’t working against me and, he really does work in each situation, even if I cannot see it or do not understand. Sometimes life just isn’t fair, but I have learned that the things that I do not see as fair, are just my own perceptions. God is a just God, and he only wants the best for me. When God became more a reality in my day to day life especially in the times when it was a struggle to let go and give it to God, and difficult to think positive thoughts and find joy, God opened my eyes to see his favor and gave me peace that passes all understanding. God works in All things for my own good. We can only see a small keyhole of the picture, God sees the entire picture. So, my thought for today is consider shifting your mind when faced in your own day today, and decide what God is teaching you. Figure out what you will learn from today and at the end of the day be thankful that we “get”, to have to learning experiences. Choose to enter life with delight and great pleasure even in the hardest of times and put your full trust in him. Philippians: 4:7 says, “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Trust in God, enjoy life not matter what comes your way and remember this that without challenge there would be not growth.
